Clutch ;

It is the system that transmits the rotational movement of the motor according to our request to the transmission organs in the desired dose.

The system is simply composed of press, lining and release bearing.

If we look in detail;

flywheel surface, clutch lining, thrust, separation bearing, separation fork or separation mechanism in hydraulic systems.

if we go deeper; rubber hose connecting the hydraulic system to the brake hydraulic container, clutch cable and clutch pedal in wire systems.

Operation of the system;

With the clutch pedal in the non-depressed position, it is trapped between the springs on the press and the flywheel and the rub surfaces on the press.

If the clutch is OK, the engine and transfer system are united. The rotational movement from one is transferred to another.

The clutch pedal pushes the springs on the press while depressing, which allows the pad to spin freely between the flywheel and the pressure surface.

Friction surface of clutch lining on pressure

Friction lining (end piece);

The friction surface of the other face of the clutch pad on the flywheel;

The system works with very simple logic ...

clutch pad is a hard pad. The material is more resistant because it is in continuous use.

The springs on the pad release gas and pull in the locked state and eliminate the shock in the first contact state to some extent.

the event is as follows.

While releasing the clutch pedal, the springs on the press are trapped between the pad and the flywheel. The first contact takes place, while a full jam occurs, the springs get stuck in the springs and movement begins. these springs are constantly in charge. In case of gas release, it is released or re-loaded.

It is understood that the lifetime of the pad ends;

In a gear with high torque (eg 1st gear), in the case of sudden throttle, the rpm increases suddenly, but the vehicle does not accelerate compared to the rpm.

or the accelerator pedal is pressed and pulled out, the clutch cannot keep up with this shaking of the engine and a vehicle table emerges which does not go compared to the revolution.

It is available in various clutches according to the usage areas.

the most known of these are racing clutches;

----

The system is mounted on a flywheel.

the lining is connected to the shaft coming from the gearbox.

Going with an exhausted system is inconvenient as there is a possibility that the pad will damage the flywheel surface.

Due to the working logic of the springs on the press, the pad is worn more than the end parts. this wear is seen as a taper on the flywheel and the pressure surface.

Clutch can be changed as a set. it may also change as a lining but is not recommended. new lining is applied on the lining (friction surface change, lining system remains the same)

In the system used for a long time, it can be corrected with flywheel surface and press lathe. however, in case of set changes, the pressure will be removed from the set.

wet type multi-disc systems are generally used in motorcycles.
