ESP / ASR and Speed limiter problem

Hello there,

I have the 2008 Model Peugeot 407 1.6 HDi Executive.

Last year, I noticed that the speed limit function of my vehicle was not working and I brought it to the special Peugeot service and connected it to the computer (speed stabilization is running). They said they were giving the accelerator pedal error, the problem would be resolved when the pedal changed, I said I'll have a break and I continued using it.

This year, I noticed that it gives ESP / ASR error while taking a slope or freezing in the bend, the speed limiter was not working. We left a service that looks at our other vehicles (a special service for every brand) that we have worked with before. In the first examinations, it was said that there was a malfunction in the brain, the electronicsman had to intervene and had a cost of 1000-1500 TL. Since the idea of an electronicist's intervention to the brain came to me very much, I had it reconnected to the computer in the Peugeot special service I had previously brought. They replied that the rear abs speed sensors and steering failed (this time there was no accelerator pedal error) and they replaced the sensors (the equivalent sensor was 130 TL, the original was 280 TL) and they said they would look at the steering error. They wanted to remove the sensors and install equivalent products, I did not want a counterpart. We cleaned the old original sensors, and again tactics, the problem persists.

I don't understand, why doesn't the speed limiter work when ABS and speed stabilization work? If the sensors cannot read the speed, where does the speed read in fixing? They said that the ESP / ASR fault and speed limiting error are connected, but why does speed stabilization and ABS work?

Can friends who have experienced this problem or have knowledge share their comments?

Thanks.

Hello there,

The problem was solved in the authorized service. Brain or abs speed sensors are not broken. Computer intervention was sufficient and only 100 TL came out of my pocket, including road tests, undercarriage analysis. Certainly, the special service tried to stake me or was irrelevant.

Thanks have a good day.

Hello, it's been a while since this happened. I seem to be experiencing a similar problem. I've been chasing this problem for about 2 months and I've been trying it myself. The problem started like this: I was out of town in the evening, while I was going to the hotel after work, and the car was cold, when I had to accelerate suddenly, the ESP light came on slightly and everything was normal. The next morning, I started the car and nothing happened. When I pressed the brake pedal, the ESP light came on only and the cruise control was disabled. Anyway, I drove like this for 3-5 km to the factory where I did work. Just at the entrance to the factory, the light went off by itself. Then, when I started it in the evening, it didn't come on again. This continued until the next morning and still does. In my last attempts, I noticed something. When I start it in the morning, if the Cruze control is on, the ESP light comes on until I turn the ignition off and on again, but if I start it with the Cruze off, the ESP doesn't give an error. By the way, I replaced the car's battery 3 months ago. I suspect it's the brake switch, but I'm not sure. By the way, my car is a 2018 Partner Tepee with 100,000 km. It's been 100 km and I've been driving it single-handedly and it has no accidents. Should I take it to the service and have it connected to the device? How exactly was your problem solved? ulas552024-12-14 15:52:41
