Hello friends, I have a 2005 model Peugeot 206 x-design triptonic gear car. The engine water temperature indicator in my car, the temperature indicator, does not exceed 70 degrees. When the pointer reaches 70 degrees, the fan works and goes down to 60-65 degrees. If you answer, I would be glad if you answer everyone. Thank you in advance.

I think it's from the thermostat. Change it and try it is not expensive

no malfunctioning. The thermostat in the vehicle is a summer thermostat, so it turns on the fan at 70 degrees.

My father's temperature indicator in the kangoo vehicle went up to the level 4 because he went to the mechanic and he put on a summer thermostat, now it does not go up from the second level.

I don't think it will be a problem, but you can fix it by installing a winter thermostat if you want.

No problem, you are right, but the temperature at which the engine runs most efficiently is 90 degrees, operating at 65-70 degrees will have a negative impact on fuel consumption.

I know that our vehicles have one type of thermostat.

Since the thermostat is always open, the temperature will go under 90 continuously. If the temperature sensor runs away, the fan turns itself on accordingly. While my car is around 70-80 degrees in normal use, it reaches 100 degrees when it gets stuck in traffic and the car does not descend until it accelerates. Is my trouble from the thermostat?

It is probably a thermostat, after the vehicle warms up and reaches 90 degrees, it should not fall down, it is normal to climb up to 100 degrees in congested traffic

My 206 engine is constantly in the 90-100 range after warming up.

This is the most normal.

It is normal that the temperature drops when your vehicle moves idle, but it should not drop when moving in gear (as serkan said).

I usually cruise at 90 in 5th gear. When I go at constant speed for 3-4 minutes, the temperature drops to 80's in mine. So let me look at the thermostat.

[/ QUOTE] I think it's normal, because it's the same for me, it's normally around 80, but 97-98 degrees maximum on strain. If I go downhill without stepping on the gas, it drops to 70 and below.
