Good forums to everyone,

There is a slight oil leak in the engine of my 2015 model 308. When looking from the left side of the engine block, there is an oil leak under a black plastic cover. I found a youtube video showing the exact location of the oil leak on the subject, but unfortunately there is no information on how to fix the problem. I would be glad if you can review the video and share your ideas. I wonder if such a leak just disappears with the change of the relevant plastic or is it a sign of a more serious problem?

Hi

The top cover gasket might need to be changed. It doesn't seem like a very serious problem. Did you check the oil level of the vehicle on the stick

Thank you for your reply, Mr. Gokhan. I've done 6000km after the oil change in September 2020, as far as I checked, there is no loss of oil, let alone the evil eye. Although there is much less leakage than in the video, I want to take the necessary action against the risk of the problem progressing.

What exactly is the top cover gasket you are talking about, if you could share the link I would be very happy. When I searched on the internet, I found some images, but I was not sure if I understood what you said correctly.

Thank you again for your interest. Respects.

It looks like the top cover gasket in this video, but you can't change it, it probably requires some skill. They remove the upper metal part of the engine, they clean it well. then they have it checked to see if there are cracks on the top cover. I know they are installing and collecting new gaskets. I know that only the gasket is between 200-400 TL. Of course, if you're handicapped like me and you like adventure, you can try to change it yourself.

You can also take a look at this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CE1z6lztKt8
