You said that the old battery was quite old. It makes no sense to change the battery when it goes somewhere when the vehicle is not running. When a certain time has elapsed, the battery is replaced. There is a mode called Showroom Mode. This mode is only available to prevent vehicles in showrooms from going into economy mode.
