ECCENTRIC TIMING (SENT SETTING)

Eccentric Timing with Lift Value in Upper Dead Spot

In recent years, this method has become very popular with the increasing number of valves and eccentric vehicles. The process involves bringing your camshafts to a certain lift value at the upper dead point. This method has been used for years by Kent Cams and many major engine manufacturers. It is an advantage of this method in terms of simplicity that it brings the camshafts to the same position without rotating the crankshaft.

Please refer to Kent Cams catalog or website for Ü.Ö.N (TDC) lift value.

1. Set your engine to Ü.Ö.N for the 1st cylinder. Make sure the pin you lock the crank on.
2. Place the compressor on the suction lift and turn the camshaft until it reaches the desired value.
3. If your vehicle's intake and exhaust shafts are separate, do the same for the exhaust valve.

After adjusting your camshafts on the fiber of a certain value, you can wear the camshaft belt / chain. Inevitably there will be a deviation from the ideal values when doing this operation. So check the settings a second time. Make the fine adjustment from the puller.

Finally, the engine should be checked to prevent piston and valve collisions.

Camshaft Timing Using the Full Lift Value Before and After the Upper Deadhead

The method, which has been used frequently for years, is made by accepting Ü.N. 0 degrees and considering the maximum lift of the camshaft's intake and exhaust valve at 0 degrees. For example Ford 2 lt. Take the RL30, the SOHC eccentric. The suction timing on the full lift is 105 degrees. This means that the suction valve should come to its fully open position 105 degrees after Ü.Ö.N. Using the timing disc, you can bring the 105 degree suction valve to the maximum lift value. You can make fine adjustments on the pule.
1. Place the timing disc on the crankshaft with the engine in the Ü.Ö.N.
2. Turn the crankshaft to the same direction of rotation (after B.C.) until it reaches a certain full lift value (see catalog for this value, 105 degrees in this example).
3. Using the compressor, read the values from the timing disc where the movement of the compressor stops and starts to move again so that the suction valve reaches the full lift value and average these two values (105 for this example). In other words, the value of the compressor stopped must be 103, and the value that it starts moving must be 107.
4. Fine adjustments are made on the pule.
5. If your engine has separate intake and exhaust valves, do the same in the exhaust. This time, find the value by turning the crankshaft in the opposite direction. You can also make fine adjustments on the pule.

Finally, the engine should be checked to prevent piston and valve collisions.

So, with this eccentric timing, are we adjusting the air-gas mixture rich?

Thank you for this information that Deran and Muzaffer presented to my brothers. This is a very important, fine and skillful setting. The car had fallen out of traction, but I could not explain my problem. He accepted his crime now. The car came out yesterday. Smile

no bro, if you didn't handle the flowmeter or made any changes to the sensors, the mixture is still 14.7 / 1, you can only adjust the degree of the eccentric with the sentence setting ...
