Drum brake, disc Brake?

Guys, I noticed that the front brakes are disc and the rear are drums in 208, which I just bought, I do not understand much of these works, but is this the original of the car, so are the disc rears drums? or changed the owner before me. 2 months ago, it was put into service in the authorized service, the front paper and discs were changed on the service paper. Discs look nicer in appearance, after all, a steel and shiny surface. The drums at the back do not look nice, like a rusty iron wheel. Brake friction sounds near the vehicle and occasionally to the exact stop, I guess it is something related to the rear team since the front has changed. Can the brake system to the drum be replaced by a disc brake? Would it be too costly? Malick 2018-06-08 08:52:39

It can be done, my brother is a very complicated and costly procedure, and approval of tvs, etc. There are not many experienced masters who will deal with this job in our country. If the car is in its original factory, it is painted with spray paint on the rim if you are in the rusty eye, you can get a clean look. That sound probably comes from the front brake pads. If you clean your vehicle with pressurized water while washing the car due to the dust, the noise will disappear. The rear drums that you say may be doing the pads can make a sound due to the accumulation of no dust in the back drums.

You're welcome Smile you can even buy a lining spray and clean the front discs beautifully. Let me also give a footnote. Never use water or cleaning sprays when the discs are hot. Then the discs are distorted and braking even begins to tremble.

I have researched it too, but the sound of the rattles is very much. It is like changing the brake system completely to the hand brake cables. Finding people who can do it properly is another thing. You can have a skilled person do it by heart. There are those who do, but it's hard.
