Door wick solution (Pictorial) - General

Over time, the door seals in the vehicle's frame deform. These deformations can be in the form of surface wear, flattening, tearing. If there is no tearing in the wick of your vehicle, I recommend you to try the application I will tell. The difference is understood, at least when the door is closing, a loud voice is heard.

The purpose of this application is to pass a soft material that does not make much thickness without removing the existing wick. You can try different alternative materials according to your preference and deformation of your existing wick.

I first tried this hose. But even though it was very soft, it came thick, the door closed hard and opened hard, it was a 10 mm hose. Maybe the 8mm one can be complete.

Let's come to our application, we cut the wick of the door you will make from 3mm right and left of the joint. We insert our material into the part we cut and push it. To give slippery here, soapy water etc. you can use the substance. You can also make a guide with a wire.

Since the wick itself was oily because I was not able to do it, I could pass the wick up to the door top turns. In the remaining sections, I cut a section at the top.

The wick I use is a wick that you can find in aluminum joinery workshops. It is available in different types. I tried with this because this is near me. There are also round ones. Since the purpose is to fill the existing wick, there is not much problem.
