Clutch action failure - 2008

Hello. My 2016 model 2008 1.6 e HDI semi-automatic Allure package automatically switches from automatic to manual while driving. The mechanic said that when he connected it to the computer, it gave a clutch failure error. Since the part in question is so expensive, is there a repair? Has anyone else experienced this?
