Cigarette lighter failure

There is a slight rust on my friends lighter, I tried the car charger the other day, it did not work. I would be glad if anyone has any suggestions.

It is very easy to remove. Remove it from its socket and remove the lighter. Spray very light rust solvent or wd40 into it and clean the cathode part with a hard object.

If you cannot find wd40, you can use oil-free contact spray with blue box.

What if we get a direct lighter? I guess it is not a very expensive thing, I haven't researched yet but it may not be expensive ...

Is the problem in the female socket? Or, is the heated male in the socket?

I bought ema brand one broke the owners before me it works, but if you have the situation, I suggest you get the original and it doesn't bother mounting

In fact, it's not something I use too much, I just don't like something that doesn't work :) If the affordable one is useful, it will be enough. Thanks
