Necessary materials:

* 400, 800, 1500 and 2000 number sandpaper. (you can find it in shops selling paint in industry)

* Metylan Metal Polisher (bought from Koçtaş 8 TL)

2 pieces Microfiber cloth (It is important that the cloth is nice soft for better results, so we prefer microfiber cloth)

* and of course our aluminum gear knob or pedals in scratched

That was the knob of my VTS vehicle that traveled 90 thousand km and the accelerator pedal. (I did not pull the clutch and brake pedals back directly, but be sure that the clutch pedal was in a much worse condition than the accelerator pedal)







How We Do It

** Starting with the number 400 on our knob or pedal, we make wet sanding under the tap.
** We clean the scratches nicely with the number 400-800-1500-2000 respectively.

** Minor scratches etc. It does not matter that it remains, the metal polisher will dissolve them all.

** After getting the matte appearance, we apply the metal polisher to the knob or pedal and feed it with a microfiber cloth.

** I did the feeding of the metal polisher about 10 times for each pedal or knob. The more you do, the more new and bright looks you will get.

** Use a clean place of the cloth every time you feed. Once the cloth is used, it becomes black. In other words, the defective area on the metal is abraded and a clean surface appears from the bottom.
