Hello Friends, in my 2008 model 1.6 HDI 110 manual diesel 308 vehicle, which I bought new about 4 years ago, the acidic water leak seems to continue from the Duracell brand 60 amp battery. 2 years ago, the vehicle would not start in cold weather, so I started it by jump starting it. I don't know if this is the cause, but over time, especially in rainy and cold weather, a rust-colored acidic water leak started to appear under the shelf where the battery is located. As the engine warmed up, this rust color started to become permanent, white mold started to form, and even where the vehicle was parked, it started to leave a large yellow stain. The battery was checked for any bursts or leaks. There was no water loss, cracks, or bursts in the battery, but it was replaced with a new battery under warranty. After this replacement, the same problem continued, especially in rainy weather, with water entering through the windshield grille, I guessed, flowing over the battery and causing vomiting. Even though the alternator was changed, and the negative (-) terminal of the battery looked like a dried tree leaf, like brown sawdust. It was found to be in disarray and was replaced with a brass terminal. The battery was washed and dried, and checked for leaks and cracks, but the battery is intact and the charge measurements are normal. What could be the problem? If there was a leak from the battery, I think there wouldn't be any water left in the battery by now. Could rainwater leaking through the glass onto the battery cause oxidation and foaming? Could the back of the battery, or a clogged manifold, exhaust, or DPF be leaking brown water from an area we can't see in rainy weather? Even if it is leaking, is it possible that this water is coming from under the battery tray? It's observed as a white, acidic, dried, rusty water leak starting directly from the battery tray. Could it be that the vehicle overcharges while driving, is parked, and then parked for 2-3 days, and when the vehicle returns from driving, this excess acid and foam leaks from inside the vehicle to the ground? As you know, our Peugeot vehicles have electrical problems. When I asked the mechanic if there could be a leak, he said there were no leaks. I haven't been able to solve this problem for 2 years. I need someone who can help. Thank you. Kalenders2024-11-19 17:04:58
