I wanted to consult you about the petrol 2020 model Peugeot 308 1.2 Puretech engine, which I am considering to buy. As you know, automatic and turbo assisted. However, in the comments and on the internet, I saw the experiences of the users, especially at 30,000 km, where the timing belt can cause engine failure, from oil reduction questions at 60,000 km to engine replacement. Some of the masters I consulted mentioned that the timing belt wears out quickly with the difference between hot and cold because it is inside the oil reservoir. To sum up briefly, can I have your experiences and, if any, user experiences and comments? In general, what are the chronic problems, in terms of engine and transmission or at other points? Are these comments valid for the old 308s or is this also the case with the models already? Thanks everyone. Have a nice day. |

Hello, the problems you mentioned were free applications within the scope of the recall. Especially, regardless of gasoline and diesel, the timing apricot and adblue problem in diesels has been solved in this way. The mentioned problems are no longer there. If you are buying a second-hand vehicle, you can ask the service about its history with the sase number.

Hello, thanks for your reply. The vehicle is 2nd hand dated 2021, so it is low in km. It just stuck in my mind, frankly, I don't want to take the service road soon after I bought it. As you said, I will make you ask again from the authorized service, they couldn't help because it was the weekend.
