I had a coilover installed on my 206 quiksilver over the weekend. Coming from the upper part of the old shock absorber; The master did not attach the metal bearing under the chock to the top of the coil. Does this part need to be installed? Or does anyone know whether the balls and wedges are attached directly? Thanks.

Yes, that bowl is a part that the original spring presses. Since the coilover springs are narrower, this part is not needed. If it is a later coilover, the springs in the coilovers you bought are short, when the vehicle springs up and the wheels are down, the spring no longer touches the shock absorber bearing, and at that moment only the coilover springs. it touches the adjusting nuts and is completely disconnected from the upper part. If this bowl were attached, it would affect you both as handling and as an annoying sound at the moment I mentioned it. it wouldn't.
