one is semi-synthetic and the other is fully synthetic. If the mileage of the vehicle exceeds 90 100 thousand, you should use 10/40, I think, a thicker oil than the other wraps the tiny spaces in the engine due to the mileage, reduces friction. 5/40 is fully synthetic, provides a little more performance, gives less sound, if your kilometer is less, you can use 5/40, you wouldn't mind.

[/ QUOTE] There are also ones for 5/40 diesel .. in well-known brands .. generally, as your friend says, there are also for gasoline .. when buying it, be careful that it writes petrol or diesel.

When the headlight oil is cold, the viscosity of one is 5 and the other 10. Use whichever engine oil number is recommended for your vehicle. Please give the model, engine information, if you want.

If the vehicle's engine is THP, I recommend 5w30 HDi, 5w40 normal gasoline and 10w40.
