I did not even put 10/40 on my 206 vehicle and used it for full synthetic oils. 5/40 full synthetic oil is better. High quality oils with low evaporation rate are available at high temperatures. It will lubricate better than 10/40 oil. In addition, it does not make sense to thicken oil as the vehicle rises km. I have friends who have 300 km overturned diesel 308-307 both use 5w / 30 oil.
