My newly bought 2007 407 2.0 HDI Executive OV vehicle is at 106.000 km. I do not know the type of gearbox in our vehicle, but I think they said AL6 in the authorized service. My way of expression will be a bit like a spoken language, but let me try to explain the problem by taking your pardon; 2 days ago in the city In the transition from 2nd gear to 3rd gear, the vehicle was as if the car was clutched and wasted gas (1-2 sec) as if pressing the clutch and pressing the gas, and then switched to 3. Of course, it knocked during this transition, I just tried 2- 2- 3 pass 4-> 3 or 3-> 2 pass no problem, other gears no problem D position or Manual (Tiptronic) position does not matter, sometimes it passes without problems, the same situation exists in full throttle or smallest gas. I bought the vehicle, I used 1200 km, never used it, and this problem has been 2 days In my approximately 40 km trials and tests yesterday, I can say that I carried the problem to another dimension. The engine temperature on the vehicle peripheral road did not exceed 80, and it did not cause any problems with bottom gas and normal gas pressures, tiptronic or D position when I stood up (I pulled many times to try and get up again). Just as I got into the city and started to use it slowly, the engine temperature started to show 90, I realized it started to do the problem again. I was pulling my foot out of the gas because the knock seemed to be wasting gas in the transition of 2-> 3, hitting and shaking happened in the meantime, I tried many times without changing my setting to the gas (either in the bottom gas or normal gas). except for a couple of times, there was not the slightest shaking or knocking, the only problem was that he wasted gas Now, this knock did not result in the fact that I was afraid of pulling my foot out of the gas and not being able to locate the gear in the meantime (my opinion), but if I did not pull out of the gas and continued as if it was normal and a few times. I asked the master in Eskisehir (not the automaker, the master I had undertaken general maintenance), he said on the phone that the gearbox may have changed oil, but I went to see him I don't remember what he said prayer or platinum or plate, but he said it should change in suit, but you can use another 40-50,000 km this way. He said, "Don't just pay attention in 2-> 3 pass," he said. "The cost can vary between 2,500 - 3,500 TL." In other words, let's change the situation, the situation did not make it as opportunistic as it was bad. He said that the expense you will make now is the same as the cost you will make after 30 thousand km or when it is completely in fault condition. Today, I took it to the authorized service, there is no software fault record in the transmission, continue using it in this way, they said if the problem progresses then let's see. Sorry it's been too long, but I wanted to explain the situation in full detail, thank you for reading so far. What are your ideas and comments, what should I follow, what should I do? Is revision inevitable? Thank you from now. |

In the meantime, I searched the forum but I couldn't find anything related to the 407 and 6-speed auto, This is not the place to open the topic, or if there is another similar message about this problem, you can direct me there and delete it. |

Hello there, Firstly, get well soon. There are many experienced users who are knowledgeable about automatic transmission in our forum. However, many users of vehicles with AL4 transmission. The name of the transmission in your vehicle is not AL6 AM6. He is a Japanese manufacture and there is little information about him. However, I think that such information will be suitable for your situation. There is a technical ad published about the AM6 transmission box and this is a problem that you mentioned in this technical announcement. Technical announcement: Technical notice numbered 701 is valid for models with AM6 transmission listed below. Peugeot 407 build code up to 10766 RJ and one of the water engine codes: DT17TED4, DW10BTED4 or ES9A. Those with up to Peugeot 307 build code 10766 89 and DW10BTED4 engine. Those up to Peugeot 607 build code 10766 89 . The relevant section of the document says: Fault: Shift lever D and vehicle flickering at idle and on start. Knocked down when shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd gear, shifting from 3rd gear to 4th gear, or from 3 to 2. Reason: Error in hydraulic blocks C1, C2, C3, B1. Suggested solution: Change of hydraulic valve blog Please check your car's engine and build code from the list above? Get well soon. |

Thank you, Now I tried to find the engine code, but I did not know where I can find it, I could not find the build code in the same way, where can I find where these codes are written. RHRJ is used in the chassis node, but I don't know where it starts with D. Also, what does this problem mean to be in urban use? Because there is no problem on the ring road. |

[/ QUOTE] Even if you do not have a knock problem, you should change the transmission oil at certain kilometers. This increases the life of your automatic transmission. Maybe you will not have a problem with the oil change, but I think it is the share of not changing the oil so far to this problem. I think you need to go to an oil change first. I guess the transmission did not fully function as a result of overheating in urban traffic. |

I think the change is obviously, after all, if it solves the problem, there will be a much more cost-effective solution. I guess, for this gearbox oil change, I think that special knowledge and sometimes another device is needed. |

[QUOTE] . I guess, for this gearbox oil change, I think that special knowledge and sometimes another device is needed. [/ QUOTE] It will be beneficial for a skilled master to change your oil. You can ask for help from forums residing in Eskisehir. Let me tell you what I know about this subject, the rest is up to you. Automatic gearboxes known as AM6 have been used in many vehicles such as Peugeot. It is also called AWTF-80 SC. As far as I know, Volvo has also used this transmission in two models (S60R, V70R models). Just as with AL4 automatic transmissions, there is no oil bar to check the transmission oil. Before changing the oil, the gear is placed in the P position and all gears are shifted in sequence and waited for approximately 3 seconds at each change. Then it is put back to the P position and waited for 2 more minutes. During the change, it is necessary to measure the temperature of the oil in the transmission and for this, the vehicle must be connected to the device. |

But I often go to Izmit to visit my father, from there Istanbul 1 hour, a good master may be suitable for me in Istanbul. In the meantime, no other comments came from anyone else, I think there are not many who use it from my gearbox. ![]() |

First of all, I will go to change the gearbox oil, especially I am looking for an automator who is interested in peugeot. When I make a change, I will share the developments with you here. The fact that the problem was only in urban use made me think that the transmission oil could not perform its function when it warms up. As a result, the valve is the same valve, there is no problem when the linings inside the gearbox are 80 with the same pad motor temperature. |

I was in Istanbul last weekend. We examined the vehicle thoroughly with the master and the final decision was that the problem with the 2-3 gear shift was caused by the inside of the transmission. He said to the master that the budget is not suitable at the moment, what happens if I leave it to summer next year, try to make 2-3 passes smooth, you will manage it for a while. Changing the oil has no effect, if there was oil, you would have problems with all gears, he said. The situation is such a tool that I will revise, such as July 2012.

Whether there is a problem with your vehicle or not, you should change the transmission oil periodically. You have not changed any oil in the 106 thousand vehicles so far. If I was you, I would still change the oil. |

There is an auto transmission that I know in Eskişehir, but I can't remember the name and location of the shop. The car had failed, and if I find the business card working on the auto transmission, I think it will cost you as much as you mention your phone address. you follow here. |

I had heard of a master in Bursa, I would recommend that you go when you are close to the ready Bursa. If I am not mistaken, I would recommend you to investigate a little if they were sent to this master, even if the authorized services such as Mercedes BMV could not do it.
