406 Sound from the power steering

about 1 month ago, the hydraulic reaction of my peugeot 406 car started to turn hard, thinking that there could be oil shortage, I actually supplemented it, the oil level was below the max oil, I added oil close to the max level, but 2 or 3 days after the oil was added.
