First of all I would like to state that I decided to buy the Peugeot 406 after using the Honda Civic 1.6 IES (2001) and then the Hyundai 1.6 GLS (2001). I tried to investigate the forum a little and get information about 406. It didn't make much sense to put the ads on the internet here and get ideas. But the 406 cars I thought were; 1999 model sv, 406 sv auto produced in the same year. All the vehicles I looked at didn't have any lpg experience before. I would appreciate if you also offer options for the service that I need to go on the European side (ie I want to expertise the car) because the vehicles are in Istanbul. Again, as far as I understand from the forum, Peugeot is a brand that is troubled about LPG. But many users have used LPG in their vehicles and received positive results. If they help me with LPG, I would be glad ...

First of all, if I do not count the 307 and 407 experiences that my friends have been riding a few times, I am a stranger to the peugeot brand, but I have been following the 406 model for a long time. I have insufficient technical knowledge and knowledge of fuel status and LPG. I came here to ask you for help. The cars I looked at 1998-99-00 model 406 sv automatic and manual models. It does not make you think that there are 2000 engines, I did some research on the forum about fuel. I would appreciate if friends who use 406 help especially. I would be glad if you also offer options about the service I need to go on the European side (ie I want to expertize the car) due to the vehicles I have in Istanbul.

First of all, I wanted to share what I know as a 2001 406 user after using mercedes for 7 years; I bought some peugeot before I bought 406, but now I bought it, I say I bought it well, some 50-60 thousand rubles in the market as a vehicle interior design. superior to cars in the price range, great handling and performance, I have the italian lovato in-line system lpg in my car, I don't even feel the car has gone from lpg, the 2.0 140 hp engine is quite satisfying, but the 2000 models d8 engine 135 hp remember this detail, long road It is not difficult to see 240 km / h on the dial easily, I use automatic gear shift gears, comfortable and soft, long talk shortly, it is a vehicle to be taken with peace of mind .. My car is now for sale if you are interested, we can meet with respect ..

I would appreciate if you give detailed information about your vehicle. If we understand why not ...
I would appreciate if you give some more information about this d8. I found 2 99 models. Is there a known chronic problem in the engines.

I sent my car ad number as pm. Erkan Bey has a difference between 99 models and 2001 models that you look at, both in the case and in the engine 406s were made up in 2000. There is a new generation engine.

So the d9 engine is an improved engine as far as I understand it. The difference in horsepower and torque is not very important. Does the d8 engines I wonder have a chronic problem?

Frequently Asked Questions About 406

What are the engine options in 406?
Peugeot 406 is available in our country with 2.0 petrol, 2.0 HD
I, 2.2 petrol and 3.0 petrol models.

What is the highest hardware option in 406?
It has 3 hardware packages as 406, SR-ST and SV. Apart from these, the equipment package called Pack Sport offers semi-leather seats, sport-style alloy wheels and sunroof as standard. The answer to your question, namely the highest hardware package, is SV, where heated leather seat, 7-spoke alloy wheels, headlight washer and cd changer are offered as standard.

What are D8 and D9? What are the differences?

D8 is a definition phrase to indicate the 406s produced from 96 to 2000, but this name is also used to indicate the code of the engines, since the engines were also changed during the change process in 2000. Although the Sedan models also make up the exterior, the only way to understand whether the coupe models are D8 or D9 is through opening the hood. Or you can take this into account as the items I have highlighted in the photos below are also symbols of change. In D8s, the 4-flasher is located inside the center console, while in D9s, it is located above and independently in the extension of the hat shading the speed indicators. Of course, this is not the only difference, the real change is this; The vehicle has been revised due to the bad result it received in Euroncap, and some parts have been consolidated. This deficiency of the sedan models that show weakness in column A has been eliminated, whereas the coupe models, whose ceiling construction is found weak, have also been improved in construction. Also, as a product of efforts to increase safety, side airbags are offered as standard. Under the hood, an improved model offering 138 horsepower / 190 nm torque was replaced in the 406s with a 2000 cc cylinder volume, replacing the engine with 135 horsepower / 180 nm torque. Although the
changes seemed small, they provided dramatic changes in gasoline consumption and showed that it was a much more lively engine than the old engine, compared to the only 3 horsepower difference. In addition, suspension quality is better in D9 than D8. Long story short, D9 models are more successful vehicles in terms of both safety, walking and consumption values. Models after 2000 D9, I remind you again.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION YOU GIVE :)
I would also like to take their thoughts if they have 406 owners who have LPG experience.

Undoubtedly, the latest generation of any vehicle is among the few engine options. I just learned, but no one looks at d8's face when d9 is available. Don't miss the 5hp difference, there are definitely other details. I think that there are improvements in important factors such as engine software, performance, fuel.

I saw a 2004 beige 406 in industry yesterday. brown leather upholstery inside, right up to the door. I definitely recommend the latest generation motorized and full (SV).

Hello, I would like to share my comments about the car as someone who has used 4 pieces of 406.
406 is simply one of the best models peugeot has ever produced. It has a perfect suspension, an excellent engine. The main difference between D8 and D9 is efficiency, that is fuel. D8 is 135hp, D9 is 138hp. there is not much power difference. however D8 obviously burns more.
406 2.0 automatic gears burn 1-2 liters more per 100km than straight. gears and clutches are very good.
It is one of the best in the sedan class in terms of handling. the rear tires turn 10% of the front. you will not even feel you are entering the bend.
When it comes to LPG, it does not work in every brand, it may cause trouble. prins or teleflex is probably the best choice. I used 2000 model automatic with prins tube, I had no problems with the tube.
SV is full, ST is basic, Sportpack is Sportsized. I recommend taking SV. You can enjoy a 2010 full car.

You can ask for any questions you have. I will help you as much as I can.

You asked for information and you chose the right form, my friend. Welcome ..

I used the 406 sv model for 5 months. In the ear, the bass, the power, first the power is felt on the steering wheel, the snra gas pedal ....... .. full family and full long road car .. rear knee distance is very successful. I used it without installing LPG, unfortunately I would recommend these gasoline hikes if you say you recommend LPG ... If you find it without accident and km is original, don't miss it.

I used 406 sv 98 model and when I sold it for 5 years, it was 260 odd.
Let me count the problems I have experienced
1-Fan motors failed 8 halved with coal

4- thermostat broke down
5-way airbag cover coating swelled 20 tlye

in short, these are not even a problem in the past 5 years. These vehicles do not get old except for plastic parts. Pros
pros. 1-yakyo excluding inner city. 2-very wide. distance remains sufficient
3-the number of vehicles entering the bend is low
4-I can not describe the sound with open filter and exhaust like poetry
5-looks very nice
6-0 100 is not so good but good afterwards
7-downhill goes to the gears of the prophet as if it was pressing the gas
& nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & n bsp; A tool that I strongly recommend.

I had the 98 model 406, the vehicle was at 310 thousand, no lpg was installed, whatever God did on the long road, it does not tire ... comfort is super ... road grip pattern as the friends say, the entrance to the corner is super ... not to hear the sound coming out of ex but the outsiders will be amazed ,, I am sick of that quiet anyway ... when it comes to the issue of fuel, I can not comment because I use gasoline, also, in lpg, there are those who say that there is not a noticeable decrease in performance, you notice it on departure, so I have a boy 1.87, the only vehicle I could sit comfortably, the bidet BMW was comfortable at 5.20, I do not count it :) except for the back plate bushings and swings, it never got me in the room & nbsp; Because of my job, normal ,, I can't go smoothly ,, because I always travel on construction sites ... but when you get the pleasure of 2000 engines once, you can't get on 1.6 anymore, it makes me think.

I don't know all the features of the 407, but when I look through the rear window, the bottom of the hood is enough for me to dislike the vehicle, the bidet is too close to the ground

Thank you very much to all the friends who did not let them know. I found a vehicle with full features at the 1999 model bva 120 thousand. Let's just talk about the owner of a two-part paint. Nevertheless, the car was installed in the car at the service. I had a bad experience in the car I sold. I would never trust the master of industry again. I bought it unpainted, 2 doors, 2 fenders, bumpers were painted :)))
I had no problems while selling the one that did not change from God. The mileage of the friends who have written in me came too much. So, in our country, over 200 thousand km of vehicles are not in demand. However, my problem is to use it as long as it is clean and smooth. div>

As a 3-year lpg user, I would like to make a few comments as a 2000 model 406 st 135 hp user.
& nbsp;
It was at 70,000 when I bought a car Now at 100,000. I had the Atiker inline system installed. He had recommended a master in Gaziosmanpaşa. He said that going to the model atiker ii said that the next model would be brc though. I have no problems in LPG for 3 years. It clearly burns half. There is no sound odor etc. in LPG. Nobody else understands that I have LPG. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE DOESN'T OVER 195 KM WITH LPG ON THE FLAT ROAD. I guess this is a normal performance.
& nbsp;
Road handling is excellent. Its robustness gives confidence. Their brakes are good. I can obtain the spare part from the publishers. I got on many vehicles, but 406's are different. But it has a large safe for city use.
