I had my 406 hdi vehicle I wanted to have for a long time two weeks ago. But for two weeks, a problem has been boring. The vehicle was a friend of mine I knew and swapped the gallery three months later, I bought the vehicle from the gallery. The problem with my car is this; While driving at a speed of 90-100 km, the vehicle lights the engine fault lamp and the vehicle does not exceed 3000 cycles, it protects itself. When I stop and restart the vehicle, it returns to normal, but the engine fault lamp remains on. After 24 hours, the engine fault lamp goes out, but if I go again at a constant speed of 90-100 km, the same problem occurs again. The friend changed the injectors because of this problem, had the turbo complete maintenance, pump maintenance but the problem still continues. When we connect the computer to the service, the turbo pressure is low warning. The Service cannot give a clear answer regarding the solution of this problem. But I doubt the catalyst. My friend has canceled the catalyst. But there was no sensor in the catalyst. I wonder if the problem could be caused by the catalyst. Well, the catalyst is a lot of money. I wonder if I change it. Or is there a friend who has come across such a situation and has found a solution? This situation bothers me a lot. I would like to thank the friends who will help you in advance. |

The same problem was with me. Unfortunately, it is the chronic problem of HDIs. Turbo air flowmeter malfunction. I disassembled and went for cleaning. It has not been a problem for 4 months. If it repeats, I will have to change it for 170 TL. First of all, I recommend you to have it cleaned and observed. When the sensor fails for a while, the ECU thinks it is a false alarm. The light goes out, but when the wrong value comes from the sensor, it turns on the fault lamp. and the engine is falling in Guard mode because it perceives the fault as something important. Same problem in the summer. |

In these kinds of problems, when a person cannot find a solution, it creates a lot of frustration. The air flow meter made sense. Of course, catalytic convector, diesel filters, injectors, turbo also make sense, but all of them have been checked before. But only the catalytic convector was stuck in my head. However, as a result of my research, there was no oxygen sensor in 406 diesels. So they said they wouldn't make it from the catalyst. But I will definitely have the air flow meter cleaning done. But why is it only doing such a problem when driving in the 90-100 km range and the vehicle is under 2500 revolutions, and not another time. I'm going to get very interesting.
