Then he turned off the engine while he was standing on the İzmir-Aydın road during the daytime. Stop wait get up, stop wait get up, I did my job. I returned to Izmir with a tow truck. I took it to the industry and they said it was the fault lever P0017. It remained that way then. It didn't cause any problems at all. 2 days ago, my vehicle turned on the temperature light in a congested city traffic. I came home without much effort. When I saw that it did not go out again today, I stopped and looked, boiling water was gushing out. We tried to cool it with a little water with a brother from there, but in vain. We waited a long time, then I came. It would be towed. I might even have to replace the engine. They say so. What should I do? Do you have any expert advice on the Peugeot 308 in Izmir?

I don't want to upset you, but if it overheated and you drove that way, the engine may have been severely damaged. This damage can be a simple gasket burn or the engine can be overhauled. I will talk about the worst case scenario. If the engine overheated severely and you continued to drive, many parts may be damaged. Pistons, liner, Crankshaft etc. In this case, they will give you two options. First, the engine will be overhauled. That is, the same engine will be cleaned, rasped, and the damaged parts will be replaced and replaced. The second option is to replace the engine block, which we call a crate engine, with a new one. Especially It was said by an experienced PSA group master that I spoke to, that the overhaul did not work very well on the Peugeot 308 and other models using the same engine. . What he has to say is that I have done business with at least 10 rectifiers, but I have never been fully productive. He told me to buy a crate motor if something like this happened to him. Look at the business reviews, you can make an inference from there. With this method, I met very valuable masters in Istanbul. It is good that you do not use the tool afterward. If you can, it will be good to first check the place where it stops before taking it to the master. Maybe later, it might be helpful if you take it with the savior.
