Arkadaşlar Merhaba;

Hello, the sudden flashing of such malfunctions can be caused by the battery and the alternator. First of all, it is necessary to determine that they are solid.

Hello,
First of all, thank you for your reply and interest. As you know, the battery is start-stop and changed about 1 year ago. They could not detect a problem in the measurements of the battery and the alternator. The masters think that there may be a problem with the gearbox due to the fault code.

P0968: Pressure Control Solenoid “C” Control Circuit/Open OBD-II Trouble Code

If a vehicle has a P0968 DTC, it means that the computer has detected an open circuit (usually some sort of electrical problem), related to the pressure control solenoid C. If this is the case, the ECU will not be able to set the appropriate amount of hydraulic pressure for each shift.

How Serious is the Code?

Most of the time, the transmission problems associated with a P0968 diagnostic trouble code aren’t very severe at first. However, the symptoms of a bad pressure control solenoid circuit will eventually cause a number of serious drivability issues like slipping and engine stalling.

Symptoms

Symptoms of a P0968 include:

  • Transmission slipping
  • Transmission shifts harshly
  • Transmission overheating
  • Engine stalls unexpectedly
  • Engine misfire-like symptoms
  • Limp mode

Causes

  • Dirty transmission fluid/filter
  • Damaged wiring and/or connectors
  • Faulty pressure control solenoid
  • Faulty transmission pump
  • Valve body failure
  • TCM/ECU problems

How to Diagnose the Code?

The process of diagnosing a P0968 diagnostic trouble code should start with an examination of the transmission fluid. If it’s clean and bright, then the wiring and connectors along the transmission wiring harness will need to be checked for signs of damage and corrosion. Should no issues be found up to this point, then the pressure control solenoid(s), transmission pump, valve body and even the TCM and/or ECU will need to be considered.

What Repairs Will Fix P0968?

  • Change the transmission fluid and filter
  • Repair or replace damaged wiring and connectors
  • Install new pressure control solenoid(s)
  • Repair or replace transmission pump
  • Repair or replace the valve body
  • Reprogram or replace the ECU or TCM

  • P0970 – Pressure Control Solenoid “C” Control Circuit Low
  • P0971 – Pressure Control Solenoid “C” Control Circuit High

First of all, hello, were you able to resolve your problem? I encountered the same problem and we started by prioritizing the electrical installation. I would appreciate it if you could share the results of your process. Have a nice forum.

Hello everyone, our investigation into the transmission problem in my car went as follows; I had taken a long road trip the day before the failure and there was no problem. I drove about 350 km by compressing. The next day, when I got to work, after 150 meters, the gear shifted to D3 E, allowing it to move as if half-clutching. It would skip with a violent knock whenever I changed gears. In our effort to find the problem, assuming such problems could also be related to the alternator, battery, or electrical system, the electrician obliged us. Thankfully, we concluded that the problem was not transmission-related. Based on the existing transmission fault code, we concluded that the problem was caused by the solenoid valve number 8, which operates with oil and controls pressure, located under the transmission control unit. We started searching for parts with the transmission repairman. The transmission repairman, in order to stand behind his work and provide a guarantee, searched for the part only by searching for 0, but couldn't find it. He replied that the entire plate containing the valve needed to be replaced along with the transmission control unit. The part alone was unavailable and the price could be around 80,000. I consulted with all my friends nationwide who were involved in the removal of the part, and luckily, I found a transmission from Mr. Aydın at Kartal Sanayi, which contained the same material. I bought it and had it installed in the vehicle. For this process, in June 2024, I paid 3,000 technicians, 5,000 transmission labor, 2,000 PSA for the electrical diagram, and 2,000 electricians. We lucked out with the car for a total of 11,000 TL. A friend who will experience the same problem needs a good mechanic, and also, while searching for spare parts in a local dealership, it's now a matter of luck, because the transmission is solid, it's really hard to find a mechanic to repair it in case of a malfunction and to find used parts for the EAT6. I can share the garage names privately for those who have problems. My car was registered in 2018, with 30,000 km on the clock. It was subject to trustee fraud. It was parked under trusteeship for a long time with all the doors removed. It suffered water damage. It had a bad history and no malfunctions (despite an expert being called). As the court proceedings lasted three years, and since the car couldn't be used during that period, and even if it was used, the probability of future malfunctions was very high, I had to sell it back to the seller for less than its value. May God reward you with good people. Best wishes to everyone.
