My car is a 2005 model 307 XS 1.6 HDI, pre-facelift. The cigarette lighter and the glove compartment light aren't getting power. I checked the fuses and sockets, but couldn't find any fault. What could be the reason? Also, the car has a Chinese-made double-din stereo. An electrician friend of mine randomly cut and connected wires some time ago. However, the stereo resets itself every time the car stops. I checked the wires; they were connected incorrectly. He connected the battery wire to the wire that should get power from the ignition, and the sleep mode wire to the wire that should get power from the battery. I fixed it, and while doing so, I wanted to connect the wire coming from the ignition, but I couldn't find it. None of the wires provided power to the ignition. What color is this wire, and why might it not be providing power? I would be very grateful if anyone with knowledge on this subject could share their information. https://static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js/vcd15cbe7772f49c399c6a5babf22c1241717689176015" integrity="sha512-ZpsOmlRQV6y907TI0dKBHq9Md29nnaEIPlkf84rnaERnq6zvWvPUqr2ft8M1aS28oN72PdrCzSjY4U6VaAw1EQ==" data-cf-beacon="{"version":"2024.11.0","token":"11ac6a036a5c4b83a3c20a30a3bc3ba2","r":1,"server_timing":{"name":{"cfCache Status":true,"cfEdge":true,"cfExtPri":true,"cfL4":true,"cfOrigin":true,"cfSpeedBrain":true},"location_startswith":null}}" crossorigin="anonymous">
< defer="" ="https://static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js/vcd15cbe7772f49c399c6a5babf22c1241717689176015" integrity="sha512-ZpsOmlRQV6y907TI0dKBHq9Md29nnaEIPlkf84rnaERnq6zvWvPUqr2ft8M1aS28on72PdrCzSjY4U6VaAw1EQ==" -cf-beacon=""version":"2024.11.0","token":"11ac6a036a5c4b83a3c20a30a3bc3ba2","r":1,"_timing":"name":"cfCacheStatus":true,"cfEdge":true,"cfExtPri":true,"cfL4":true,"cfOrigin":true,"cfSpeedBrain":true,"location_startswith":null" crossorigin="anonymous"> Honestly, this cigarette lighter and glove compartment light thing seems quite complicated. Made in China. The tape player and the old cable mess have made things much more difficult. But you're doing a good job trying to fix it; finding the ignition cable seems like it requires a bit of patience.
