306 kilometers fading

2002 306 1.6 brk vehicle suddenly I could not see the mileage. it is faintly read in very light environments. But normally it is impossible to see. I went to an electrician. He said that there are two types of counters, one is digital, they cannot make digital, and cannot understand without disassembling. Does anyone know about this? Can you tell me what it is like if I give you a chassis number?
