I think the coils need to be replaced as well. Have the coil sockets etc. been checked? Have I contacted the authorized Peugeot service center?

Sir, the service department said there were no problems with the coils and connectors, and there were no negative symptoms before the fault light. However, what I noticed was that the engine, both hot and cold, started slightly with difficulty twice during startup before the fault light appeared. I can say that it didn't crank at all. Frankly, I suspect the coils. So, what could be part of the alternative ignition system? Thanks. Spark plugs changed, battery changed, coils are suspicious!

I still think you have a coil problem. These types of problems are common in 1.2 Prutech engines.

Dear Soner, we ran Diagbox version 9.91 software using the Lexia3 diagnostic tool to diagnose the problem. I cleared many minor, unimportant momentary faults, and identified two fault codes in the engine computer related to the problem. The following fault codes were also identified when we took them to the service center. P1033 66: Auto-ignition before spark (Noise) (Moderate) Fault Characteristic: Frequency too high Status: Permanent Fault-Related Variables P1032 66: Auto-ignition before spark (Noise) (Low) Fault Characteristic: Frequency too high Status: Permanent Fault-Related Variables We couldn't clear these fault codes, so I did some research on foreign forums. They indicate an LSPI (Low Speed Pre-Ignition) Error. Premature ignition at low rpm. The reason for this is the LSPI Error. Ignition is generated by the spark plug in turbocharged gasoline engines. Due to the small cylinder volume, the cylinder receives fuel from the upper transverse rather than the side, sending the piston down after ignition. However, if the driver suddenly accelerates while the engine is very low, some of the fuel sent to the cylinder adheres to the cylinder walls, creating a second ignition independent of the spark plug. This second ignition creates a counter-thrust force against the piston's upward movement, stressing the piston and cylinder walls. LSPI, which damages the engine in the long run, leads to inexpensive materials but high labor costs, including piston ring replacements. There's an explanation like this: High acceleration at low speeds in city vehicles is a very normal occurrence. If I'm not mistaken, the company recalled vehicles, modified them, replaced engines, etc., due to this issue in 2018. There are many user complaints on complaint forums in Turkey about this issue. They have the same problem, with vehicles operating between 40,000 and 60,000 km, and they've experienced the same issue. Some have even filed lawsuits against the brand, though they haven't reported the results. As of yesterday, I contacted the company's headquarters and explained the situation. They opened a case and will get back to us within two business days. I'll keep you posted on the progress. They need to conduct a thorough investigation, but since these service providers are only concerned with the money they'll receive, we, as end users, are investigating. I hope the coils are the cause of the LSPI error, and the situation will go in a different direction.

If it's as you say, then the problem is serious. It probably seems like a software issue, and I hope you can resolve it. In my opinion, Peugeot has failed miserably in the gasoline engine market over the last 15 years.

Hello, I have the same problem in my car. I had my Peugeot 308 1.2 PureTech checked and it said there was a spark fault. What is the solution? Were you able to get your car fixed?
