206 X-Line Outside Temperature Indicator - 206

After applying the 3-Line Display for 206 X-Line, I looked for ways to remove the - ° mark in the image below. I will try to convey the paths I find to you as much as I can.

I found out that 206 X-Line series vehicles have an outside temperature sensor under the right mirror.

To find out if there is an outside temperature sensor, it is enough to look under the right mirror. If there is a protrusion in the picture below, you have a sensor.

The ones that are not in other models have a place that can be attached to the mirror by taking them apart from the pieces, and the cables of this sensor come to the place where the mirror control lever inside the door is located, that is, to the tweeter.

If our outer mirror is heated, there are 4 cables in the socket. Those with 2 of the same color are connected to the cable in exchange for the socket and this cable continues through the door. The cables connected in return are for the mirror heater.

What we need to do is to connect two other cables, which are plugged into the socket, through the cable hose through the door and connect them to the place in the harness side of the vehicle.

We bring the 2-wire cable (from the cables we connect the speakers to) to the harness. We find the relevant cables from this bundle. It is very easy to find. There are 2 cables that are thinner than other cables in the bundle. When we examine these cables, the cables are vacant across the socket.

We cut these weak wires in Orange and Gray.

We add the cables we just pulled on the cut cables and protect the insulation. There is no + / - status of the cables we connect.

We have completed our current connection. Now we are recovering the places we dismantled.

The thin cables we connect have a value of 1.5 Volts. By measuring this voltage value, you can avoid making a wrong connection. The sensor in the mirror has an NTC that varies according to the temperature. It is a Negative Heat Coefficient Direc. The reaction when it is connected to the system is briefly; its resistance increases as outdoor temperature decreases, its value decreases as temperature increases. Depending on this resistance value in the system, how much the voltage drops below 1.5V, it calculates accordingly and measures the outdoor temperature.

After finishing these operations, we want to go to any service with Peugeot Planet2000 system and activate the option to show outside temperature on the screen.

Total cost for this transaction

1mt 2 cable: 0,25 TL

Opening PPlanet: Between 10 - 20 TL
