Hello, in my 206 manual car, there is no noise even when I lightly press the accelerator, but when I take my foot off the accelerator, I hear a clicking noise proportional to the rotational speed of a rotating component. There is no noise when the car is idling and stopped, or when I engage the clutch. The noise occurs while the car is moving, and when I lightly press the accelerator, the sound disappears completely. When I press the clutch while the car is moving, the sound diminishes and does not disappear. Does anyone have any experience or ideas about this issue?

Hello. I had a similar problem with my Opel Meriva diesel. The problem was caused by a broken spring on the clutch disc. While I was still working, the worn bearing, pressure plate, and clutch disc were replaced. The problem went away. A similar problem occurred with a friend's car, and the cause turned out to be a broken snap ring on the flywheel hub. Both problems had the same sound and response, but the repair and cost were different. I recommend consulting a reputable mechanic before making a decision. It might just be a bolt, or perhaps some parts need replacing. It's a bit difficult to see without opening the car. Good luck.
