Thankfully, my mechanic thoroughly inspected the car and fixed the problem. He replaced the mount under the transmission. He also had an electrical problem with the throttle body, which he fixed, and the car is great. The gears click and go smoothly. It pulls away when starting off. If anyone had predicted this before the repair, I wouldn't have believed it. If you have a 206 that has traction problems on hills, or one that's doing 120-130mph on the flat, but not pulling at all on hills, and overheating, I highly recommend having the throttle body and transmission mounts checked.
