206 gti tubing attached to the battery box.

hello 206 gti my car has a pipe connected from the front to the battery box, one end is connected to the battery box, one end is connected to the air conditioner radiator, if anybody knows what is the task and name of this pipe, i would appreciate it. Is this an important part of the pipe broken? the picture is at the bottom.

It was the air duct. I don't know exactly what you're doing, but as far as its name suggests, it should be working to ventilate the engine compartment.
