I want to shorten the gearshift lever of my Peugeot 206. When I disassemble the knob, a straight shaft appears, cutting it 1-2 cm will shorten it. But will this have a disadvantage to me? Do anyone have this process before, can you help ltf?

Apart from a little hardening, there is no side effect that I know.

In my opinion, my way will not be shortened on the roads, but you will get an aesthetic appearance.
