Hello. I have a 2006 model 1.4 X-Design Gasoline vehicle with 300,000 km on it. 2 weeks ago I took my vehicle to the repair shop with the complaint that the battery light was coming on while the vehicle was running. Since I had a similar problem in the past years, the suspicion that the problem might be related to the alternator or the carbon brushes did not mislead me and indeed, both the alternator and the battery were changed with new ones. However, now the vehicle still turns on the battery light after a certain number of km and it is not charging. However; there is something that has caught my attention. When the vehicle is cold starting, the revs first increase to 1250 rpm every 206, then the vehicle warms up and drops nicely to 750-800 rpm. There's no problem here. After a while, after driving a certain distance, say I stop at a red light, I notice the car has stabilized at 1250 rpm, just like it did when it first started, and it never returns to its normal idle speed. In this case, the battery light turns on. I turn the car off and start it again, and the speed returns to 750-800 rpm, but the battery light remains on. After driving for a while, the same thing happens again. I cleaned the throttle body and MAP sensor over the weekend, but the problem persists. Thank you to anyone who can comment on this.
