206 automatic gear 1 2 3?

On my 2002 model 206, I learned that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears are for manual use. To use the 2 and 3 gears, we are already pulling the gear back to the proper position, but the 1st Gear is switched. Do we press this button while in D? So in which position does the gear need to be to press 1?

Yes, you print while at D. Do not use 1 2 3 unless my advice is required. It doesn't come to play a lot. The gear causes the position damper to deteriorate quickly.
