Hello everyone, I have a question for you. I recently bought a 2001 model 206 1.6 engine automatic transmission car for my wife to use. There is no problem with the car's handling and gear shifting on the road, but sometimes it malfunctions. It is fixed by turning the car off and on. This problem is as follows. The car starts off in 4th gear and does not exceed 2000 rpm. During this problem, you can barely drive on a straight road, as if you are starting off in 4th gear. Of course, it is difficult, but even on a very small hill, it does not move from a stop and does not exceed 2000 rpm. What could be the reason for this problem? I told a few mechanics that the solenoids will be changed, if it does not go away, I will open it. If it does not go away, do I need to have the brain checked? They offered several options. I would like to inform you if this has happened to anyone before. If I leave it to the mechanic, I will try everything and it will come up with a solid bill.
