2016 308 AIR CONDITIONER

First of all, good day everyone. I have a 2016 model 308 automatic with the Active Package. I turn on the windshield defogger when the windows fog up, but the air conditioning runs at full power, and I can't use it on long drives because of the noise and the fan power. Is there a solution to this? Can I just turn the defogger on in settings 2 or 3? Thank you for your answers.

Hello, when you turn on the air conditioner, it automatically closes the outside air intake, preventing the interior from escaping. I don't even turn on the air conditioner in my vehicles. I usually only use it with warm air, and after a while, the condensation disappears. If you absolutely must turn on the air conditioner, avoid setting the temperature to full and turn off the outside/inside air recirculation button.

Let me explain it this way: In the morning, before going to work, I start my car and wait 2-3 minutes (AC, air circulation - defoggers are off). Then, before driving off, all my windows fog up. I directly press the windshield defogger button and it starts working at the highest setting regardless of the air conditioning level. If I press the fan setting to decrease from the screen, the defogger turns off. My question is, how can I run this windshield defogger at the desired fan setting?

When you press the windshield opening button, it puts the air in circulation mode, turns on the AC to dry the humid air and removes the moisture from the glass by blowing only the windshield with pressure. That's the logic. You can do the same thing without pressing that button, by turning on the air conditioner, closing the footwell and center, turning it to warm air blowing only the windshield and turning the fan down.
