I own a 2014 model Peugeot 308 1.2 Puretech 130 hp. I bought the car in June 2021. Since I bought the car, I have occasionally seen small amounts of water leaking from underneath. I took it to the repair shop a couple of times and they couldn't find a leak, but they said it was probably windshield fluid. Last month, while driving, the "Engine temperature fault, car stalled." warning suddenly appeared on the screen. I immediately pulled over and opened the hood. The cap where we put the engine coolant was not in place. (I don't know if I closed it completely when adding water last time, or it popped out from the pressure). I added water to the car again and took it to the repair shop. They said the electric water pump was faulty and water was leaking from there. I drove home with the car. I took it to the repair shop again and he said the thermostat was faulty and was leaking water. We replaced the thermostat. I returned home and it gave the same error message 12 days later. This time, I went and said the electric water pump was faulty and needed to be replaced, so we did. (He showed the pump, the pump had been worked on before) The distance between my house and Sanayi was 5 km, and on the way home, the temperature gauge rose again after 3-4 km. I returned home, taking breaks constantly on the way. A few days later, I took it back to Sanayi, and the mechanic said there was water in the exhaust, probably the gaskets were gone, we can't do this. Has anyone had an overheating problem with a 1.2 Puretech engine before? I live in Kartal, Istanbul, is there any mechanic you can recommend who is knowledgeable about this work?
