2008 active dynamic Start Stop not working

My car is a 2020 model 2008. I've been using it for about five months, but the capital letter "A" is constantly flashing within a green circle and the engine won't stop. When I looked up the meaning, it says it doesn't engage unless the necessary conditions are met. It should engage under normal use, at least compared to vehicles with start-stop systems I've driven before. For example, the air conditioner won't kick in when the AC is on, but it won't kick in if the AC is off and the heater is on HI. Lower the temperature a few degrees from HI, say to 26 degrees, and start-stop will kick in.

The information in the manual states "depending on the conditions" in my opinion, it is not very important, besides, the benefit of the start-stop is debatable. Your battery has reached the end of its lifespan, and the stored energy level has fallen below a certain standard. Start-stop doesn't work. For safety reasons, if the vehicle stalls, it might not start again. Replace it. It works. The battery no longer works. Go to a battery dealer and have it measured.
